Why properties in M14 are being snapped up

In search of your next home? It’s likely that location and affordability are two of the biggest factors swaying your decision. And, if you’re looking to live in Manchester, you’ll be pleased to know that one local postcode offers just that.

What’s more, buyer demand in the M14 area is so great that properties are being snapped up at a “crazy” speed, according to experts. Here, we reveal just why the streets around Fallowfield and Rusholme, and properties in M14, are of such a high interest.

Variety and value

Latest figures show that the south Manchester areas of Fallowfield and Rusholme are experiencing countless viewing requests. Plus, when properties do come onto the market, they’re only there for a matter of days. One of the biggest reasons for this could be because of the average house price in the area. At around £170,000 – £230,000, properties here are much more affordable compared to other Greater Manchester towns.

There’s a nice variety of apartments, terraced houses and even larger family homes too. Both of these factors make it a great choice for buyers of all ages – including first-time buyers who may have previously struggled to get their foot on the property ladder.

Access to the city

Of course, interest in this area isn’t anything new but it is growing fast. Again, this could be because Fallowfield and Rusholme are cheaper alternatives to the popular areas of Didsbury, Chorlton and even the city centre. Or, people could be simply opening their eyes to Fallowfield and Rusholme’s individual appeal.

For starters, there’s lots of local amenities and transport links as well as good school and employer opportunities. That’s before we even mention how close they are to the city centre and the rest of Greater Manchester. There’s also plenty of parks for those who enjoy getting out and about. At Kaytons, we’ve seen such a high demand for properties in the area that we’ve even created our very own Fallowfield Area Guide to help people moving there. In fact, if you’re looking for a city buzz but want to stay away from the centre, these two towns are a fantastic option.
