Salford Housing Boom Continues

Salford is continuing to expand as new developments are approved and work on improving the streetscapes remains on going. This week, the Salford Town Hall chiefs were presented with four new developments, including highrise apartment blocks, which will bring an additional 2000 homes to the area.

The focus of these developments is in the Salford Quays and Exchange Quays areas, as well as an additional 1000 apartments in Greengate.

In recent years, Salford has become a highly sought after area to live or invest in as improvements to the town centre, housing and commercial areas continue to grow. The Greengate regeneration scheme is a major part of this, and the latest Embankment West development proposed including 3 million square feet of residential, retail and commercial space.

Select Property Group and Ask Real Estate are working in collaboration on this development which will bring 684 residential apartments to the area. One of the main focuses of the building is encouraging social community engagement and providing residents with opportunities to interact with each other in communal spaces. There will be a roof garden, yoga studio, media room and a private entertainment space – plus views over the city from the 13th floor of the apartment tower.

Mark Stott, CEO of Select Property Group, said, “Receiving planning for our first Affinity Living scheme is a huge milestone for the brand which we’re confident will bring something exceptional to a generation of professional young renters in a remarkable area of the city.”
