27 Oct New Victoria Development Gets Go Ahead
A new mixed development close to Victoria Station has been given the green light with planning permission granted for the £185m build. The New Victoria development is a joint project between urban regeneration specialists, Muse Developments, and Network rail.
The 2.5 acre site on Corporation Street will be turned into a mixed use development incorporating three new buildings. These are a 150,00 square foot Grade A eight-storey office development and two residential buildings. The residential buildings will reach storeys of 20 and 25 storeys and bring an additional 520 new homes to the city.
Current plans include 178 one-bed apartments, 286 two-bed apartments and 56 three-bed apartments on the site. There will also be a gym, cycle storage, roof garden and communal residential space.
The ground floor will comprise retail space as well as a car park. The development is expected to begin at the end of 2017.
The New Victoria development is going to offer another opportunity for investors and homeowners to purchase a home close to Manchester’s city centre. Within close proximity to Victoria Station and the amenities on offer in the city, it will be a fantastic opportunity for young professionals and property investors.
