A report from the Manchester Evening News has shown how much property prices within Greater Manchester have increased between 1995 and 2015. The MEN website includes a widget where you can type in your postcode to see the average price increase for your area (dependent on sales during those two years).

We checked out the price increases on some key areas within Greater Manchester.

Castlefield (M15) – the median price in 1995 was £56,750. By 2015, it was £160,000.

Ancoats (M4 6) – the median price in 1995 was £18,000. By 2015, it was £144,975.

Spinningfields (M3 6) – the median price in 1995 was £42,000. By 2015, it was £137,495.
