Final Countdown to Christmas

We can hear Santa’s sleigh bells ringing in the distance – Christmas is rapidly approaching and it is time to really get into the festive spirit. The city has been pumping with office Christmas parties and the markets have been overflowing with people drinking mulled wine and eating bratwurst. The Kaytons office will closed from the 24th of December until the 2nd January however we are contactable via email on info@kaytons.co.uk.

So what is happening in Manchester in the lead up to the festive period? Here are a few ideas to help you get into the party mood.

Manchester Christmas Markets

The markets are still open this weekend, bringing delicious food, warming drinks and unique gifts throughout the city centre. Make the most of your last chance to sip mulled wine (or have you tried the rum-enhanced hot chocolates?) with a group of friends. The markets finish on Tuesday 22 November.

Curling Lanes

Spinningfields’ curling lanes will be available for use until 26 January so why not pull together a group of friends to try out this unusual sport. We’ve seen it in the Olympics – it doesn’t look that hard… right? Book session here.

Christmas Grotto at the Arndale

Spoil the kids this Christmas with a visit to Santa’s Grotto in the Arndale shopping centre. They can meet the man himself (remember to book in advance on the Arndale website) while you get your Christmas presents wrapped by professionals.

Salford Royal Choir Sing

Enjoy some festive carol singing by the Salford Royal Choir at the John Rylands Library. This free concert is a fantastic event for all of the family. Donations will be collected for the Wood Street Mission.

Support Your Local

With so many fantastic bars and restaurants throughout the city, Christmas is a great time to go out and try somewhere new. Many bars in the Northern Quarter and Spinningfields are holding special Christmas events and deals to help add to the festive spirit. Check individual venue websites for more details or go for a wander and see what you find!

Whatever your plans for the festive season, we would like to wish you all a safe and prosperous Christmas and New Year!
