Celebrating Paul’s 10 years at Kaytons

Kaytons Estate Agents recently celebrated 13 years in business and there’s one team member who has been with us for 10 of those years – Paul Olverson, our Associate Director.

With over 17 years in the property industry, Paul has helped hundreds of people to find their dream home and he’s played a crucial role in the building of Kaytons. His expertise spans both lettings and sales and, as one of our senior members of the team, he also oversees the day-to-day running of the office. Here, we look back at where it all started and reveal what the future holds…

How it all began

Paul joined Kaytons back in 2015 when we were based in Piccadilly Gardens. Back then, it was just a team of two with him and Gagan spreading the word and helping the people of Manchester to find their dream home. However, Paul’s journey into property wasn’t exactly planned.

After graduating from university, Paul’s friend suggested estate agency so taking a chance Paul approached a local business and secured a role as a sales negotiator. That decision ultimately led him to where he is today.

Why Kaytons Estate Agents?

Paul saw a lot of potential in Kaytons and knew he could add experience and value. 10 years later, he’s just as enthusiastic. “I’m still here because I’ve seen how much progress has been made, and I continue to be excited by what lies ahead.”

A changing market

10 years is a long time and it can’t be denied just how much the Manchester property market has changed. “The city has seen significant growth since the recession in 2008. The market has benefitted from huge international investment, leading to a surge in high-rise developments and a buoyant rental market.”

With this in mind, it’s no surprise that Paul advises any buyer or seller to carefully plan their next move. “Ensure you thoroughly check your financial position and consider all costs involved. Look into the area thoroughly, and consider buying close to transport links – you’ll thank yourself one day!”

Looking ahead

Rewarding, exciting and insightful. These were the three words that Paul used to sum up his time at Kaytons – and he’s hopeful for the future too. Paul remains a critical part of our team and Kaytons wouldn’t be where it is today without him so thank you Paul and here’s to the next decade – and beyond!
