New Bruntwood Towers for the Riverside

Property developers Bruntwood and Select Property Group have joined forces again and have revealed plans for two new towers in Manchester’s city centre. Reaching 33 and a 16 storeys, these new apartment blocks will be located near the Lowry Hotel next to the River Irwell. Architects Denton Corker Marshall – the creatives behind the Civil Justice Centre – have put together the designs for the two towers that will comprise 506 new apartments.

The designs also include private dining rooms, co-work spaces, a gymnasium and a roof top garden. The hope is to create a tower-based community that offers all of the luxuries you could possibly need for city centre living.

In an interview with Manchester Confidential, Peter Crowther, Property Director at Bruntwood, said, “The addition of high-quality residential apartments to our established office and retail campus at Riverside will create a truly vibrant, 24/7 mixed-use community.”

Mark Stott from Select Property Group remarked that this development would transform the riverside location and redefine the concept of ‘build-to-rent’.

The development is subject to planning approval and should commence in October 2016.
